<LaPrin Clinic (hereinafter referred to as “the Clinic”)> collects, retains, and processes all personal information based on relevant laws. The Personal Information Protection Act establishes general norms for handling such personal information, and the Clinic will appropriately manage and process the personal data in compliance with these regulations to perform public duties effectively and protect the rights of data subjects.

Additionally, the Clinic respects the rights of data subjects regarding the personal information it retains as stipulated by law, including the right to access, correct, delete, or request the suspension of processing. Data subjects may file an administrative appeal if they feel these rights have been violated, as stipulated by the Administrative Appeals Act.

To safeguard data subjects' rights and address any grievances related to personal information, the Clinic has established the following privacy policy. Any changes to this policy will be announced through website notices (or individual notices).

Article 1 (Types and Methods of Collected Personal Information)

The Clinic will notify users in advance of the scope and purpose of the collection of personal information at the time of registration or in the terms of service, as required by law. The personal information collected includes the following:

For Website Registration: Name, ID, password, gender, date of birth, residence, mobile phone number, email, access log, cookies, IP address.

For Medical Services: Clinic registration number, name (in Korean), date of birth, address, email, marital status, source of referral, and health information such as medical and family history required for medical services as determined by medical staff.

For Medical Billing: For credit card payments, card issuer, card number, and authorization information.

Collection Methods: Information may be collected through the website, written forms, fax, phone, bulletin boards, or email.

Article 2 (Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information)

The Clinic uses the collected personal information for purposes such as medical treatment, examination, appointment verification, and billing. All provided information will be used only for the specified purposes, and if any purpose changes, prior consent will be sought.

Article 3 (Retention and Usage Period of Personal Information)

Personal information is deleted without delay once the purpose for which it was collected is achieved. However, certain data may be retained for specified periods in accordance with legal requirements.

Article 4 (Destruction Procedures and Methods of Personal Information)

Collected personal information is transferred to a separate database or stored in separate files after its purpose has been fulfilled and is retained for a certain period as specified by law. After this period, the information is destroyed. Digital data is deleted through technical means to prevent recovery, and printed data is shredded or dissolved.

Article 5 (Provision and Sharing of Personal Information)

The Clinic does not share personal information with third parties beyond the scope of the “Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information” without the user’s consent, except as required by law.

Article 6 (Entrustment of Personal Information Processing)

To provide better service and enhance convenience, the Clinic may entrust certain personal data processing tasks to external professional companies, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and safe data management through contracts that outline data protection responsibilities.

Purpose of Use by Recipient:

To verify patient identity and manage appointments, including cancellations.

To provide information on clinic use, new services, and event notifications.

Mobile notifications for appointments, check-ins, and tests.

Personal Information Provided: Name, ID, password, gender, mobile phone number, email, residence.

Retention and Usage Period: Same as the collecting institution’s period unless terminated by contract. Refusal to consent may prevent reservation, potentially impacting user convenience and satisfaction.

Article 8 (Rights of Users and Legal Representatives and How to Exercise Them)

The Clinic will promptly respond to requests for access, correction, or deletion of personal information upon verification of identity. For security reasons, requests for access, correction, or deletion of personal information cannot be made by phone, mail, or fax, but must be done in person.

Access to Personal Information: Users may visit the Clinic to request access to their information.

Correction/Deletion of Personal Information: If errors are identified or correction is needed, the Clinic will act promptly. Supporting documents may be required for verification. If the Clinic has a valid reason to deny access, correction, or deletion, the user will be notified of the reason.

For Legal Representatives of Minors under 14: Legal guardians may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing on behalf of minors, with documentation verifying the relationship.

Article 9 (Withdrawal of Consent/Method of Membership Withdrawal)

Users may withdraw their consent for the collection, use, and provision of personal information at any time. Membership withdrawal can be completed through the "Membership Withdrawal" option on the website or by contacting the data protection department by letter, phone, or fax.

Article 10 (Automatic Collection of Personal Information and Rejection Option)

The Clinic uses cookies to store and retrieve user information for service customization and user behavior analysis. Users may accept or reject cookies by configuring browser options, though some services may be impacted if cookies are rejected.

Article 11 (Personal Information Protection Officer)

The Clinic has implemented security measures to protect users’ personal information, including firewalls and limited access protocols. Additionally, the Clinic restricts the number of employees handling personal information and regularly conducts security training. The Clinic assigns and regularly updates passwords for systems that process personal information.

Article 12 (Notification Obligation for Policy Changes)

Changes to the privacy policy due to amendments in laws or internal operating policies will be announced on the website.

Patient Rights and Responsibilities

1. Patient Rights

Right to Treatment: Patients have the right to receive appropriate medical services regardless of gender, age, religion, social status, or economic situation. Healthcare providers must not refuse treatment without valid reason.

Right to Information and Decision-Making: Patients have the right to receive information on their health status and make decisions about their care.

Right to Privacy: Patients' personal and health information is protected, and healthcare providers cannot disclose it without patient consent unless legally required.

Right to Remedy: Patients may seek remedy for life, body, or financial damages through the Korean Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency (02-6210-0114, www.k-medi.or.kr).

2. Patient Responsibilities

Trust and Respect for Healthcare Providers: Patients are responsible for providing accurate health information and respecting the treatment plan.

Prohibition of Fraudulent Treatment: Patients must disclose their identity truthfully and should not seek treatment under another person’s name or through false means.
